How buying works
From finding an item to meeting the seller, step by step.
1. Find an item
Browse or search by category, size, condition, price and city. Save items to come back to them. You can browse without an account.
2. Ask questions and make an offer
Message the seller from the item page to ask for more photos or details. You can offer between 30% and 100% of the asking price; the offer lasts 48 hours. An offer is not a payment.
3. The item is reserved for you
When the seller accepts your offer, the item is marked Reserved and other offers are closed. Agree in the conversation where and when to meet, and how you’ll pay.
4. Meet, check and pay
Meet in a busy public place. Check the item: size, condition, any flaws, and the brand if that matters to you. Pay only when you’re happy and the item is in your hands. Atiq doesn’t process payments.
Never pay in advance or send money to someone you haven’t met. If a seller insists, report them.
5. Completion and reviews
Once you have the item, the seller marks the sale completed. You can then review each other within 30 days. If the seller marks a sale completed that never happened, report it from your Deals page.
Changing your mind
Either of you can cancel a reservation before the sale is completed; the item goes back on sale. Atiq doesn’t arrange refunds, because the payment never goes through us.
