Safety centre
How to buy, sell and meet safely, and what to do if something goes wrong.
Meeting safely
- Meet in a busy public place during the day, such as a café or a shopping centre.
- Tell someone where you’re going, or bring a friend.
- Check the item before paying. Take your time.
- Trust your instincts: if something feels wrong, leave.
Payment
Lbazard doesn’t handle payments, so there is no buyer protection. Pay only when the item is in your hands.
- Never pay in advance, by bank transfer, or through a money-transfer agency (Wafacash, Cash Plus, Western Union…) for an item you haven’t seen.
- Never share bank card details, codes or passwords.
- Be wary of prices that are far too low, or pressure to decide quickly.
Common scams
- “Pay a deposit and I’ll keep it for you” or “I’ll send it by courier once you pay”.
- Links to fake payment or delivery pages that ask for your card details.
- Requests to continue on WhatsApp or another app before you’ve met.
- Luxury items at very low prices described as original.
Lbazard shows a warning under messages that contain links, phone numbers or requests to pay in advance.
Report and block
Use Report on any listing, profile, message, conversation or review. A moderator reviews every report, and safety reports first. Blocking a member stops them messaging you or making offers. Learn more in the Community guidelines.
In an emergency
If you’re in danger, call the police (19) or the Gendarmerie royale (177) first. Lbazard can’t respond to emergencies.
After that, report the member and tell us through the contact form with the topic “Safety”.
